Note: The 'position' notation here is consistent with that used in Binary Editor, 1-8 for example rather than 0-7. - Mode 0: - Turn QH off in terms of ROM presentation - Essentially returns to stock, but keeps RAM monitoring active over full 4 bank range lower half so you can do 'stock' datalogging. - Mode 1: - EEC-IV, 56k/64k single bank, use edgecard-connector-mounted input as a 4-position switcher. - Banks are rendered based on switch position input. - 4 banks possible. Switch has 8 positions, but they repeat as you go from 1-4 to 5-8. - Mode 2: - EEC-IV with 8-positions via software. - In this mode, external switch is ignored. - Changing the position number will only affect which bank is rendered. R/W relative addressing etc remains the same. - Mode 3: - EEC-V with 2-bank 112/128k, 4-positions via software. - Cannot use external switch. - Mode 4: - EEC-V with 4-bank 224k/256k 0189 arrangement. - Case 4 with position 2 selected is the same as our base default case prior to switching introduction. - Mode 5: - EEC-IV with 4-position on switch (same as case 1), but it will track software-selected location (like Mode 2) when switch is in position zero (rotated fully clockwise).
